Health Science Spotlight It was a great semester with several groups running multiple projects in the Sevier CTE Center Health Science Capstone course. I have attached below the Morning talk interview with the group that took on the Emergency Management project.
Health Science Spotlight It was a great semester with several groups running multiple projects in the Sevier CTE Center Health Science Capstone course. I have attached below the Morning talk interview with the group that took on the Emergency Management project.
This is what Mr. Schweikart had to say about it all:
"What an absolute success. One of our groups for Health Science Capstone was able to work with Zach Kearney from the community who is a part of Advanced Emergency Management Technology. The group worked tirelessly to get ready for an event that normally takes 6-12 months to run. The group consisting of Scott Haslam, Bobbie Mitchell, and Brynn Jensen was able to get it done in 3 months.
This small group worked closely with Mr. Kearney to go through training regarding Incident Command and preparing to manage this training exercise. This included contacting and working directly with Sevier EMTs, Sevier Fire, Richfield Police, Sevier Valley Health Department, Sevier County Sheriff's Department and Life Flight.
The training exercise was a huge success, seemingly going off without a hitch. These students have worked together and with our Scrum model training for project management to accomplish above and beyond the normal scope. Attached you will find images and videos from that day, the students' Website that they created as a part of their portfolio, and the interview that was done at our local radio station as well.
Thank you for all your support,
Mr. Brennon Schweikart, CAA"
Thank you to Mr. Schweikart for the guidance and organization he provided last semester. This event was a fantastic way for these students to cap off their high school Health Science Pathway experience.
