What parents need to know about Title VI- Indian Education Program

Title VI is a federally funded program that provides funds annually for Native American and Alaskan Native students.

These funds support schools and communities by providing opportunities for Native Students to meet and exceed academic and cultural standards.

The goal of the district’s Title VI program is to address the special educational and cultural needs of Indian students.

The parent advisory group (Indian Education Committee) helps to guide the program and provide cultural support.  Click here for more information on the Roles and Responsibilities of the Indian Education Committee.

Title VI Programs

Are you, your child, or your child’s grandparents enrolled members of an American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native group? If yes, your child is eligible to enroll in the Title VI program. Participation can expand the opportunities available for your child. Our program aims to meet and surpass state academic and cultural goals standards.  Click here for the Student Eligibility Certification form.

Please let us know if your family chooses not to participate or if you do not have tribal enrollment. Kindly include the student’s name, date of birth, and status, then return this information to the school. We will record this in our database.
