Sevier School District complies with the important public safeguards outlined in Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA). http://www2.ed.gov/policy/gen/guid/fpco/pdf/csso-notice.pdf.
Sevier School District also complies with amendments to FERPA made by the “Uninterrupted Scholars Act” (USA), signed into law in January 2013 encouraging schools to collaborate with child welfare agencies to develop policies and procedures that permit the appropriate disclosure of the education records of students in foster care placement.
