There are a lot of higher education scholarships available to students based upon a wide variety of criteria ranging from scholastic record, athletics, service, to almost any other talent or ability. By contacting colleges and universities directly, you can find specific information about general and departmental scholarships offered by that school.
Sevier School District Board of Education offers a district scholarship of $500.00. This scholarship recognizes students based on their outstanding leadership in service for both their school and community. (In the past, scholarship was added upon by the Presidential Freedom Scholarship from the Learn and Serve America Organization, but due to lack of federal funding, these added funds may not be available on any given year.) For more information, please contact your student's school counselor.

Concurrent enrollment (CE) is when a high school junior or senior enrolls in a college level course through a college or university and receives both high school and college credit upon passing the course. Many concurrent enrollment options are available within our district. CE students pay a one-time admission fee and no tuition. Inquire with your school counselor for more information about opportunities that are available.
Advanced Placement (AP) students must obtain qualifying scores on the AP test at the end of the year to get college credit. Each AP test costs approximately $80. AP test scores may be sent to multiple colleges and universities. Each college or university determines the number of credit hours awarded for each AP test, and which scores qualify for college credit.
