- Implementation Update
- Double Block LA9
Language department is dividing departments better. Similar to flex groups but only in language.
- Reading Component to the LA9 Lab
Purchased a reading program. 80% of students during their language hour will get reading intervention. We have seen a significant increase in scores. We are hoping to see the same in math. Exemplary on reading and growth.
- Re-structure of Math 1 with Co-Teachers
Every single hour there is a math class. There is a special ed teacher that is in the class helping the teacher. They are pulling kids into groups. Doing better from last year. Reinforce that skill and teaching. Majority of money is in language and salaries to help with those
- Purchase of Edgenuity For Credit Recovery
- Recovery of Credit Course for Seniors
- RTI report and communication of Cat Time with Tuesday incentive
RTI report - Once a week it pulls students' grades automatically for F grade or truancy or office referral. Creates an eligibility list. Students can log into the student portal where it shows grades, resources. At the top it will tell them if they are eligible or ineligible - depending on grades or truancy. This is what we are using to determine CAT time.
- Hired additional IAs
Andrew Black, Spencer Jolley and Rikki Mcclimans Gale were hired as new IAs. Great addition to the school.
- School Report Card
Incentive for students is a longer lunch. Friday - Wildcat pride is longer lunch. Tuesday if eligible they get 10 min longer lunch.
- Safety Plan
Safety Plan - RHS has a safety committee. Mr. Peterson and our SRO, have gone through training of different scenarios. More and more we may see more situations when we go into Secure situations.
Double Barriers will come in next summer. Will be getting a guardian - non teacher, concealed weapon. Training will be done for that guardian. RHS will have at least one guardian, and can be more than one. Guardians must be here on campus while students are in session.
- Technology AI Handbook
AI is a great resource but must be used appropriately. The district has a great resource.
- Career Day
Last year the community council helped with career day for Sophomores. Would like to do the same this upcoming year. We need to move up the career day from March to January to allow for better scheduling of classes.
