  • Notice of positions available sent home: September 5th

  • Ballots and voting information sent home: September 12th

  • Ballots are due back to Pahvant Elementary Office and voting closed September 19th, 2025 @ 1:05 pm

Notes:

Significant needs in our school: teachers, safety, social and emotional wellness(TSSA), school counselor, technology devices and programs, instructional assistants, attendance increases with incentives and field trips etc.  

(CSI Attendance Efforts 2025-2026) Attendance parties:  glow party, blookit, fun competitions with principal, treats and extra recess, props for photobooth, mystery dress up days for staff, music in the gym, attendance assembly 

Officer Williams SRO- bell to bell every day; teaching NOVA to 5th grade 15 minutes 

 

Committee member questions and concerns:  

Math help more individualized, extra help with struggling students 

Mental health and bullying- would love to see a full time counselor in each school; agreement form to discuss matters with other counseling centers in the community; maturation program has been moved from spring to fall; no phone policy discussion in school;  chromebook filters (youtube), second step program for social and emotional wellness. Assemblies on being kind; 20 minutes

CSI Review and Discussion- Attendance tracker from Mr. Johnson- 5 minutes

CSI Data Gateway review- Growth and proficiency among schools in our same demographic category.-7 minutes 

Discussion of instructional assistants and how they are a huge piece to our flex groups.-10 minutes 

CSI- Chronic Absenteeism (Data Gateway)8 minutes 

Assessment district data and proficiencies- 5 minutes 

  

School Safety Information (State Law Requirement)

Ashman now has a full time SRO, gun safety for students, 

Digital Citizenship (State Law Requirement) 

Develop next year's Trust Lands Plan (discussion and share proposal ideas/ Draft)

TSSA Plan and Budget 2026-27, more verbiage added and discussed- 5 minutes 

Trust land plan goals, academic areas etc.- 5 minutes

CSI- STRIVE FOR 5:  Not missing more than 5 days per school year.  Local businesses donate to the school for rewards. 

Big brother and sister program and the success we’ve had.
