Following our meeting, I updated our draft plan for the 2024-2025 school year. I attached it below for your review. As we discussed, if you approve the attached plan as is, you can reply to this email with your approval. If the majority approve of the plan we wouldn't need to meet again to make amendments before submitting it to the state. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and we will go from there. I do approve of the plan, but there were a few things that I just wasn’t sure of. I attached a marked-up version with my questions. They don’t impact my approval. I am mostly trying to understand and bridge the gap between my banking background and the education system.

Thanks for your follow-up email. Here are the responses to the questions you had. I hope they make sense, please let me know.
1. If students don't reach the goal nothing happens for a few years. The goal is our target and it's allowable to work on it for a few years. We have been hitting the goal every couple of years and then we gradually increase it. 2.The +3% and +4% show the differences in data respectively from the 2022 to 2023 testing seasons. It's good to show the growth from year to year.
3.The funds are for IA and the music specialist we currently have. We would replace the IAs and music specialist on this budget if we had any who resigned for any reason. Our goal is to keep funding for 8 IAs on this budget. 4. RTI stands for Response To Intervetion. At Pahvant Elementary we call it flex groups and tiered groups. This is the process of assessing students and grouping them for interventions and extensions as needed.

Thank you. That all makes sense. I sure appreciate all that you and all the educators and staff do at Pahvant. I have talked to lots of parents of students past and present and the consensus is that Pahvant is the best school. I sure appreciate all the IA’s do in the classroom to help the teachers and to champion for student success. I don’t think I realized until I had a student transition to middle school how critical the 3rd-5th grade years are.
