-Come to school everyday, arrive on time, and be ready to learn. |
-Make sure my child attends school and intervention regularly and arrives on time. -Respond to notices, invitations, meetings and progress reports. |
-Create a safe, inviting learning atmosphere. -Ensure that teachers are available for individual assistance before school. |
| DURING SCHOOL |
-Return completed homework to school each day. -Pay attention to my teacher and ask questions when I need help. -Follow directions and all school rules. |
-Know what my child is expected to learn. -Contact my child’s teacher when my child does not understand a concept. -Support school rules. -Visit or volunteer at the school. |
-Provide effective learning activities. -Offer special assistance as needed to accommodate each child’s individual learning needs. -Provide ongoing progress monitoring of student reading achievement. |
| AFTER SCHOOL |
-Complete homework assignments neatly and on time. -Ask for help on my assignment and homework when needed. -Attend after school intervention class. |
-Check my child’s backpack regularly. -Provide a quiet place for my child to do homework. -Work with my child to complete homework. -Encourage and support my child. |
-Provide an intervention program based on proven instruction for students who are not performing at grade level. -Utilize effective research-based materials -Ensure that teachers are available for individual assistance until 3:45 PM |
| ALWAYS |
-Ask a family member to read to me or with me at least 30 minutes per day. -Work hard to achieve my school goals. |
-READ ALOUD WITH MY CHILD AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EACH DAY. -Celebrate my child’s achievements! -Limit the amount of time my child spends watching TV or playing video games |
-Share responsibility with parents or other caregivers for student learning and achievement. -Hold regular parent conferences Provide student academic reports 3 (tri-annually) |
