Community Council Meeting Minutes - 3/12/25
Attendees: Sarah Mecham, Paul Mecham, Brittany Hallows, Dennis Anderson, Rod Hinck, Angela Johnson, Dani Hallows
Mr. Hinck called the meeting to order and motioned to approve the minutes from 2/5/25 meeting, and Dennis seconded the motion all were in favor.
Discussion Topics:
Talked about the plan to keep the classroom sizes the same and to do that would need to use Trust Land Money to do so. North Sevier Middle School tested above the state average in 8 out of 9 areas tested. We would like to keep the classroom sizes remain the same.
We went over Trust Land expenditures and plan for 2025-2026. Basically, we would continue to do what we did this school year. Use the money to maintain our current schedule by funding a portion of a teacher. Previous uses such as our two instructional assistants, software programs for LA and math, staff professional development, student motivators and technology supplies would need to be purchased out of other funds unless Trustland Funds increase.
Mr. Hinck nominated to approve the Trustland Plan. Dennis Seconded the motion and all were in favor.

- 3/28 initial checkpoint for 4th term
- 4/7-11: White Ribbon Week
- 4/9: Mid-Term 4th Quarter
- Spring Break ( No School) 4/14-18
- 4/28: Final Checkpoint (⅔ through 4th term)
- 5/16 Last Day to turn in work for 4th term.
Mr Hinck motioned to adjourn the meeting, and Paul seconded the motion. All were in favor.
