Election of Chair and Vice Chair:
Amanda Lloyd nominated Cindy Riddle to continue on as Chair as the Committee and she as Vice Chair, it was Seconded by Brain Winn and approved by all members in attendance.
Community Council Information:
Explanations of Trustlands of the purpose of the Community Council by Mr. Chappell
School Data Review:
Reviewed Spring 2018 SAGE scores and comparisons with district and state, Monroe was above the state average. Also, reviewed data comparison of Monroe Elementary to similar schools (SES, Free and Reduced #'s, etc.) in the state and we scored quite well in the three main subjects.
Review 2018/2019 Plan
Approx. $80,000 for the school year. Board members were ok with the plan.
Review Title One School Plan
Review entire plan, specifically Component #1 and training staff in phonics with the “BLAST" program, also an explanation of PLC implementations and process that are taking place in the school so the committee members have a better understanding of what it is and what is happening in the classrooms.
