ACCIDENTS / INJURIES / ILLNESS

1. Assess severity of injury or illness.

2. Call first aid / CPR-certified staff members to assist with on-site intervention.

3.  Call 911 for emergency assistance if needed.

4.  Remove uninjured students from the accident site.  Transfer injured or ill person to nurse's office if safe to do so.

5.  Call parent or those listed on emergency release form.

6. If a student is taken to a medical facility, they should be accompanied by a school staff member if parents are not available to immediately accompany the student.<
